A question & answer session lasting 1- 2hrs will never bring out the real person esp. in IT.
Our selection process involves a hands on programming exercise in which the candidate is given a specific problem , she is to come up with the design and code. The discussion is then based on the design and code she has just invented.
the aspects we stress are :-
how novel is the design?
the approach
the openness to take feedbacks

I guess, interviews are fun. We recently had our campus interviews and it's fun to tell my life story in like 50 seconds (and it gets only better when you tell it to your peers!).

PS: Yeah, thank god no one asked me coding questions!
